Dalliance with Evil

We are, or seem to be, or could be in a kind of end time, the immanent decline of our civilisation.

If we take "art" as a kind of barometer for the health of our civilisation we could argue that post modernity and capitalism have sapped the vitality from creativity, leaving the skeletal remains of an inverted formalism.

Wars rage across the planet and the global economy, falsified and separated from the "real" economy by way of the orgy of derivatives, teeters on the brink of collapse. Our one world government, that superpower, moves further towards imperial fascism.

The beast, the whore, the harlot, they're all there and they open their lips to the refrain: have a nice day.

But, on the other hand, perhaps everything really is fin(e), the world stumbles on as it always has and it really is a nice day tonight.

But anyway, watch out for the explosion and ultimate death of the sun in about 5 billion years and assume the crash position.
